The 106th Reno Rodeo begins its run at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center, offering 10 nights of rodeo competitions including bronc riding, barrel racing and bull riding.
The event is sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association and is part of the 100 Rodeos in 100 Days series.
Additional attractions include a carnival, vendor fair, food court and daytime activities.

The K-BULL 98.1 FM Reno Rodeo Kickoff Concert takes place Wednesday with country artist Scotty McCreery headlining. He will perform songs from his album Rise & Fall, including “Cab in a Solo” and “Fall of Summer.” The Kruse Brothers will also perform. Tickets are $65 in advance or $75 on the day of the show and are available at the Reno Rodeo ticket office or online.
The Reno Rodeo Cattle Drive Parade will conclude Thursday around noon, bringing 70 riders, eight wagons and over 300 steers into Reno. The route includes Clear Acre Lane, McCarran Boulevard and Sutro Street.
Nightly viewing parties run through the duration of the rodeo from 5 to 10:30 p.m. in the indoor arena. Viewing is included with the $10 grounds fee. Attendees can watch events on a large screen, visit vendors, and enjoy food and music.
The Championship Drill Team Competition will be held Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the indoor arena. Riding teams are judged on synchronization, horse performance, crowd appeal and other factors. The event is free to attend.
Slack events begin Friday and continue through June 27 in the outdoor arena. These qualifying rounds feature barrel racing, breakaway roping, team roping, tie-down roping and steer wrestling. All slack events are free to the public.
The Rodeo 101 PRCA Youth Camp will take place Saturday. While registration is closed, spectators are welcome. The camp includes instruction on roughstock and timed events, with a focus on safety, fitness and rodeo fundamentals.
The Reno Rodeo Cornhole Tournament returns Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the indoor arena. Teams can register for $100 to compete in novice or pro divisions for a chance to win a Montana Silversmiths Championship Buckle.
Reno Rodeo Kids’ Day is scheduled for Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will offer educational activities, animal exhibits and live demonstrations in the indoor arena, along with the Mutton Bustin’ Championship.
The Special Kids’ Rodeo also takes place Sunday from 1 to 3:15 p.m. and allows children and young adults with physical or mental exceptionalities to participate in Western-themed activities.
