A ribbon cutting was held on Friday for the Railyard Flats apartments in Sparks.

According to a post from the City of Reno on X, the apartments are meant for low to extremely low-income households earning 60% or less than the area's median income.

Some rent could start as low as $600.

The apartments are a Reno Housing Authority project built in collaboration with and using funds from The Washoe County HOME Consortium, The State of Nevada Home Means Nevada Initiative, the Nevada Housing Division, and the U.S. Dept of Housing and Urban Development.

The apartments are located on 10th Street in Sparks.
