The owners of Smith and River announced this morning that they have closed their Sierra Street location as of Saturday, February 15th.
In a statement, MaryBeth and Colin Smith said the location is being transitioned to Sergio Romero, owner of La Condesa Eatery. Romero plans to open a new restaurant at 50 N. Sierra Street in the Riverwalk District in early March.
The Smiths also said they will be focusing on their other Roundabout Group businesses and do not have immediate plans to relocate Smith and River.
The owners said in the same statement, "We would like to sincerely thank our Smith and River patrons for their continued support over the past few years. We absolutely love bringing creative and inspiring cuisine to northern Nevada and will continue to do so with our catering and special events businesses throughout the region."
