A crash on I-80 west near Vista Blvd. is slowing traffic all the way past USA Parkway.
Nevada State Police say the incident started just after 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Troopers initially responded to a semi-truck blocking the roadway near mile marker 21 when they got a second call for a multi-car crash in the same area a few minutes later.
They say one semi – a dump truck – was carrying gravel that had spilled onto the roadway and as cars slowed due to the debris, a second semi-truck hit the back of a Subaru and Ford F-450.
Two people were transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The first semi driver was cited for an unsecured load of gravel while the second truck driver was cited for due care and not avoiding the crash.
