An 81-year-old Reno woman is dead after a rollover crash on SR 338 near Smith Valley in Lyon County last week.Â
Nevada State Police troopers say the crash happened around 5:45 p.m. on January 16th on SR 338 near mile marker 26. Â
NSP says a preliminary investigation shows a Chevrolet Malibu was heading south on SR 338 while a Freightliner box truck was heading north when it went into the south lane, where they eventually crashed into each other.
Troopers say the box truck overturned and landed on top of the Malibu.
The driver of the Malibu, 61-year-old Christine Roberts died on the scene.Â
This crash is still under investigation by the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Unit.

A crash in Lyon County on Thursday night has left one person dead.
It happened on State Route 338 in Lyon County near mile marker 26 according to a spokesperson from the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The crash involved a semi-truck and a sedan, with one confirmed death.
State Route 338 is closed in both directions and will be for the next several hours. Use alternate routes and avoid the area if possible.
