Military Road

You can learn more about the upcoming construction project on Military Road at a public meeting on Thursday.

The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County plans to expand Military Road from two to four lanes, upgrade intersections and drainage and add improvements for pedestrians and bicyclists between Lemmon Drive and Lear Boulevard.

RTC will hold the 5 p.m. meeting at Lemmon Valley Elementary School at 255 W. Patrician Drive in Reno.

Construction is slated to begin next month and is anticipated to be completed in fall 2027.

RTC says more than 15,000 cars use the roadway per day.

The project is funded through Regional Road Impact Fees paid by developers.
