Carson City Health and Human Services is partnering with the Carson City School District to offer flu vaccinations at several schools this month.
The free vaccination clinics are available to qualifying students, families and school employees. CCHHS will bill most insurance plans. People without insurance or who are underinsured can receive a flu shot for $20, but no one will be turned away if they cannot pay.
Upcoming clinics include:
- Oct. 5: Seeliger Elementary School, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
- Oct. 7: Eagle Valley Middle School, 7:15-9:15 a.m.
- Oct. 8: Early Childhood Elementary, 10:30-11 a.m.; Bordewich Bray Elementary, noon-1:30 p.m.; Carson High School, 2-4 p.m.
- Oct. 9: Carson High School, 7-9:30 a.m.; Fremont Elementary School, 10-11:30 a.m.; Carson High Silver Campus, 1-2 p.m.
- Oct. 14: Carson Middle School, 7:15-9:15 a.m.
- Oct. 16: Fritsch Elementary School, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
Students and employees must submit a completed consent form to receive the vaccine.
