Nevada State Police troopers are investigating a semi-truck crash that killed one person on I-80 east of Lovelock late last month.

NSP says the crash near mile marker 135 in Pershing County happened around 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 28.

NSP says a Western Star work truck was heading west on I-80 in the right lane, when both truck and trailer went off the road and hit several road signs.

After it then hit a metal culvert, NSP says the truck went left and then overturned, spilling cargo.

NSP says the unidentified driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, died on scene.

The driver was the only person inside the truck.

The investigation is ongoing.
