About 15 homes and ranches are currently threatened by a fire north of Wells in Elko County.
Fire crews say the approximate 100-acre Oxley Fire is actively running toward U.S. Highway 93 after starting only a few hours earlier on Monday.
Fire crews says Wells is not currently threatened, but residents should remain aware of conditions and monitor updates.
Elko County Fire, U.S. Wildland Fire Service (WFS), and Nevada Division of Forestry (NDF) are all on scene helping contain the fire.
There's no immediate word on how the fire started.
Officials say you should pack enough for at least three days.
