Seven area businesses failed a recent underage alcohol compliance check by the Reno Police Department, Sparks Police Department, and Washoe County School District Police Department.
During the operation, 18–20-year-old volunteers were used to check 14 businesses.
In each instance, the volunteer provided their actual state-issued identification if they were asked for it, clearly identifying them as underage, according to a law enforcement release.
The seven businesses that failed the compliance check were:
- Lakeside Market - 6147 Lakeside Drive
- 7-Eleven Store #33090B - 6150 S McCarran Boulevard
- Craft LLC - 22 Martin Street
- Fair Deal Liquor - 1695 Sullivan Lane
- The Local - 404 N McCarran Boulevard
- Blitz - 400 S Rock Boulevard
- Victorian Saloon - 908 Victorian Avenue
The businesses that passed the compliance check were:
- The Elbow Room - 2002 Victorian Avenue
- G Street Saloon - 2285 G Street
- JG Town Liquor - 538 Greenbrae Drive
- Moxie's - 4792 Caughlin Parkway
- Deli Town - 3650 Lakeside Drive
- Metro Market - 595 Booth Street
- ABG Market - 180 W Peckham Lane
