The Sierra Avalanche Center has issued a Backcountry Avalanche Watch for the Greater Tahoe region from Sunday into Tuesday.
They say, "blowing and drifting snow is expected to form new, potentially unstable slabs in places that are filling in with wind drifted snow."
The Eastern Sierra Avalanche Center has also issued a Watch for the Eastern Sierra in Mono County.  They say the avalanche danger is expected to rise to "high" by Monday afternoon and remain elevated through mid-week.
