Sierra Nevada FC, a non-profit soccer club, is hosting the “Goals for Hope” Charity Soccer Game in honor of one of its players who is currently battling cancer.
The event, organized in collaboration with the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation (NNCCF), will take place on Sunday, May 18.
The event will begin at 4:00 p.m. and take place at University of Nevada Reno's Mackay Stadium, located at 1664 N Virginia Street in Reno.
The charity match will feature teams from the Reno Police Department and the Truckee Meadows Fire Department.
Attendees will also be able to enjoy local food trucks and participate in a 50-50 raffle.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Northern Nevada Children’s Cancer Foundation.
