Six Mile Canyon Road reopened Monday morning after mudslides hit the area on Sunday night. 

The Storey County Sheriff's Office says drivers should be aware of road shoulder restrictions while crews continue cleanup.

The Storey County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) is reporting a road closure due to a mudslide tonight.

SCSO has reported on Facebook that Six Mile Canyon Road is currently closed due to mudslides caused by the recent thunderstorm.

Public works is on the scene, working to clear the road.

Mudslides on Geiger Grade have also been reported, per SCSO. They say that the Nevada Department of Transportation has been advised.

Drivers in the area are being urged to use an alternate route and avoid the area.
