The City of Carson City has announced that one of its parks will be closed temporarily while crews perform repairs and maintenance.
Sonoma Park will be closed from April 7 until April 25 so that the maintenance can be done on the grounds of the park.
Crews will be renovating the turf, addressing some irrigation issues, and making repairs to the irrigation system.
They will also be aerating, seeding, and fertilizing the turf to help it recover from the heavy use of the park.
For safety reasons, the park must be fully closed for the duration of the work.
For a list of other parks in the area, including those that are dog-friendly, check out the Carson City Parks and Rec website.
