The Sparks City Council has unanimously approved an ordinance expanding where camping is not allowed within the city.

Areas impacted by the ordinance include the Victorian Square corridor, within 1,000 feet of the Sparks Marina, as well as in city parks and city-owned parking structures.

The definition of camping will also be changed to spending more than six hours, day or night, in the same place.

The Council is also considering whether to rezone Andelin Family Farm as agro-tourism to help them expand their festivals.
