Sparks firefighters recently responded to reports of a hiker who had fallen on a trail and ended up saving their dog.
When firefighters with Engine 41 arrived on the scene, they determined that the hiker was uninjured, according to a post on the Sparks Firefighters Facebook page.
They did, however, find that the hiker's dog Wick was too weak and exhausted to get back to the trailhead.
The crew carried Wick back to the engine and gave the four-legged companion a ride back to the owner's vehicle safely.
