Minglong Chen has been arrested after a Douglas County Sheriff's Office investigation into recent elder scams.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office Street Enforcement Team conducted the investigation, which is still ongoing.
Chen was part of a group of suspects who allegedly used threats to intimidate seniors into giving them approximately $68,000.
The team made contact with one of the suspects, who drove directly to a victim's home to collect more money.
Chen was arrested for conspiracy, extortion, and exploitation of the elderly.
Chen is being held on $100,000 bail and an immigration (ICE) hold.
