Jada Candy Dump Event

Do you have a sweet tooth? Are you looking for something for you or the family to do this month in celebration of Halloween?  You might want to mark your calendar for what organizers describe as a sugar-filled celebration.

Reno families and candy lovers of all ages are invited to a free Halloween event featuring a half-ton of candy dumped from a full-sized dump truck.

The community event will take place at JaDa Loft Boutique, located at 6405 S. Virginia St., on Saturday, October 18, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The highlight of the celebration will be a half-ton of candy dumped from a full-sized dump truck, creating a sugar-filled spectacle for attendees.

The event will also feature a free jump house, a giant slide, and opportunities for children to trick-or-treat in a safe, designated area, with separate zones for younger children to enjoy treats.

Music, games, food trucks, local vendors, photo opportunities with the truck and costumed characters, a children’s costume contest, and raffles will round out the festivities.

"This is not just a candy giveaway, it’s an unforgettable experience for the whole community," said Monica Rios, owner of JaDa Loft Boutique. "We're excited to bring people together in a fun, safe, and delicious way."

Admission is free, and the event is open to people of all ages. Families are encouraged to come for an afternoon of sweets, games, and holiday fun.
