A day of tennis and community wrapped up at Wooster High School in Reno as the Tennis Fair helped promote youth fitness and the sport.
"We find out that when kids become freshmen in high school, this is the first time they get to actually pick up a racket and we want to change that, we want to introduce them to tennis at an early age and even middle school age," says Kathy Kimball.
Organizers say the momentum continues with the 2026 Team Tennis Season —a fun, co-ed format with singles, doubles, and mixed doubles play.
Teams are built across schools and skill levels, with a four-week session starting April 18th at McQueen High School.
The program is open to 8th grade and up.
The signup deadline is April 15th.
