Three Former Reno Aces appear on World Series Rosters

The 2025 World Series begins Friday night with the Toronto Blue Jays facing the Los Angeles Dodgers, and three former Reno Aces players are part of this year’s rosters.

Tyler Heineman, who played for Reno in 2019, and Daulton Varsho, who was with the team in 2021, are both representing the Toronto Blue Jays.

On the Dodgers side, Anthony Banda, a member of the Aces in 2016, will take the field for Los Angeles.

Also of note, former Reno Ace Buddy Kennedy, who played for the team from 2022 to 2023, is guaranteed to receive a World Series ring this year. Kennedy appeared in two games for Toronto and seven games for Los Angeles in August, meaning no matter which team wins, he’ll walk away with championship hardware.

The Reno Aces’ 2026 home opener is set for Friday, March 27, when they host the Tacoma Rainiers, Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. Season tickets are currently on sale. For more information, fans can visit RenoAces.com or call (775) 334-7000.
