Washoe County deputies say they arrested two people during two different traffic stops that found illegal drugs.
Deputies say they recovered approximately two kilograms of cocaine during a traffic stop on I-80 east near Patrick. The driver, identified as 32-year-old Juan Quiroz-Delapaz, was taken into custody.
Then, during a separate traffic stop on I-80 east near Keystone Avenue, deputies say they recovered about three pounds of methamphetamine. The driver, identified as 56-year-old Gabino Barreras, was also taken into custody.
Both Quiroz-Delapaz and Barreras were transported to the Washoe County Detention Facility and booked on felony charges of trafficking a controlled substance, 400 grams or more; transporting a controlled substance; and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.
