As the University of Nevada, Reno kicks off its spring semester, the university has provided an update on a number of projects around the campus.

Planning for a Life Sciences building is underway just east of the Tulloch Business Building, according to a letter from University President Brian Sandoval.

A recently approved acquisition has added a 600-unit housing development to University Village, with the aim of providing affordable housing options for faculty, staff, and grad students.

The indoor fieldhouse project is on track for completion by August of 2026. The fieldhouse will accommodate Nevada club, intramural, and varsity sports.

It will also provide a practice area for the Wolf Pack Marching Band and Nevada spirit teams, as well as a space for ROTC exercises, ASUN, community events, youth sports activities, and pregame events.

Manzanita Lake and the area surrounding it on the south end of campus are getting a facelift.

On the north end of campus, the new State Public Health Lab building is nearing completion.

"These projects represent just a sampling of the physical manifestations of our collective achievements and initiatives," said Sandoval in the letter. "Together, they advance our goals of becoming an institution that is known for its national presence and global impact."
