Nevada voters have set the stage for the state's attorney general race, selecting Nicole Cannizzaro and Adriana Guzman Fralick as their respective party nominees in the primary election.

Cannizzaro won the Democratic nomination, receiving 99,075 votes statewide, or 60.75%, compared with 56,992 votes, or 34.95%, for Zach Conine. In Washoe County, Cannizzaro received 18,932 votes, or 59.14%, while Conine received 11,806 votes, or 36.88%, according to election results.

On the Republican side, Guzman Fralick secured the nomination with 99,641 votes statewide, or 60.04%. Danny Tarkanian received 57,521 votes, or 34.66%. In Washoe County, Guzman Fralick received 25,034 votes, or 68.46%, while Tarkanian received 9,446 votes, or 25.83%.

The primary victories advance Cannizzaro and Guzman Fralick to the general election, where voters will decide who will serve as Nevada's next attorney general.

Tarkanian issued a statement Wednesday thanking supporters, volunteers and donors for their efforts during the campaign. "This was not the result we wanted, but I'm grateful to the many Nevadans who believed in our campaign and the issues we fought for," he said. Tarkanian also congratulated Guzman Fralick and thanked his family, campaign team and supporters.
