Washoe County District Attorney Chris Hicks has announced his intention to seek re-election in 2026.
He currently serves as president of the Nevada District Attorneys Association, vice chair of Nevada's Prosecutor Advisory Council, and a member of the board of directors for the National District Attorneys Association.
"I consider myself to be blessed to do the job I love in the community I cherish," said Hicks in a statement. "Being District Attorney is about duty, public safety, and justice under the law. It's not about politics, notoriety, or climbing a political ladder - it's about family, commitment, and community."
Hicks was first elected in 2014 and re-elected in 2018 and 2022.
