Washoe County is opening a Community Resource Center for residents affected by recent wildfires, bringing information and assistance together at one Reno location.
The center will be at the North Valley Community Center, located at 8085 Silver Lake Road, where staff will be available to answer questions, provide resources and connect residents with support.
Representatives will include Veterans Affairs, Inspections/Permitting, Insurance and Washoe County School District resources, along with other assistance.
The center will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, August 28, through Monday, August 31. It will reopen from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, through Friday, September 4.
Washoe County described the event as a tabling event designed to give affected residents a welcoming place to find information and connect with available resources.
