WCRAS cats in need of used newspapers

Can you lend a paw? Washoe County Regional Animal Services (WCRAS) needs gently used newspapers for the many cats and kittens in their care in need of good homes.

In an online post, WCRAS says it needs the community's help gathering gently used newspapers to provide cozy spaces and easy clean-up for the staff and the many cats and kittens in its care.

They are asking for donations of flat, unwrinkled newspapers that are free of stains, food, or other types of debris that they can use to line a cat or kitten space.

These types of donations help WCRAS keep the cats comfortable and cared for while repurposing old newspapers with a second life, as they say.

All newspaper donations can be dropped off at Washoe County Regional Animal Services, located at 2825 Longley Lane, Ste A, in Reno, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Washoe County Regional Animal Services says thank you for helping them care for their furry friends. Meow much appreciated!
