On Tuesday, the Washoe County School District voted on its budget for the next school year.
The school district unanimously approved two motions.
The first approved continued funding of early learning assistants for fiscal year 2027.
The second directed the superintendent to continue the analysis of school consolidation savings to potentially reallocate to high-needs schools.
This will come back as part of the fiscal year 2028 budget process.
