The Washoe County School District has announced plans for its contingency days this year.
The contingency days are necessary to make up for two days in February when school was canceled.
To make up for that time, schools following the balanced calendar will no longer have an early release on June 3.
June 4, 5, and 8 will be high school finals.
The last day for all students will be a half day on June 8, with June 9 being a professional development day for staff only.
All early childhood pre-k programs will end on June 5.
TMCC High School will use two contingency days on Friday, May 29, and Monday, June 1.
On May 29, staff and students will be expected to attend classes, and on June 1, a Professional Development Day will be held for staff only.
Gerlach K-12 School and Incline Schools are not impacted and will follow their separate schedules.
