A traffic stop on Interstate 80 led to a major drug seizure this week in Washoe County.
The sheriff’s office says it started when deputies stopped a vehicle traveling eastbound near Mogul Road.
During the traffic stop, a WCSO K9 was deployed and provided a positive alert on the vehicle.
Following an investigation, deputies say they found about a pound of methamphetamine and 37.64 grams of fentanyl in the vehicle.
44-year-old Brandye Koranne Eaton was arrested.
Eaton was booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility on several felony charges:
- Possession with Intent to Sell a Controlled Substance (two counts)
- Transport of a Controlled Substance (two counts)
- Trafficking Fentanyl, 28–42 grams
- Trafficking a Controlled Substance, 400 grams or more
