Weather is once again getting in the way of Burning Man.

The weeklong event in Black Rock City focuses on community and art.

The gates to Black Rock City have now reopened, but they were closed for most of the day due to rain.

Last year, the playa turned into a mud bath that people and cars couldn't escape.

I spoke to multiple people heading to Burning Man and they didn't seem to be worried at all.

They add that even with last year's conditions it was still a great time, and it actually helped them beat the heat.

"I just think people might be worriers. But I think from what I heard from friends who went last year... even though it did rain, it was all good. Everybody had a good time," says traveler Jeremy Riesenburger.

Before they knew the gates reopened, when asked about their plans if the gates remained closed, everyone said that they love Reno, and it would not be a big deal.

People hoping to get to the festival do say it was a little nerve wracking but that everything works out in the end.

"It stresses me a little bit. I have heard the gates are closed. I'm bringing a theme camp out there this moment and we're a couple days late showing up to bring the theme camp. So, I'm a little stressed but everything will be lovely," says traveler Dane Nielsen.

After the entrance gate reopened, organizers warned there may be traffic backups because of the delay.

However, wait times were never reported to be more than an hour.
