A 49-year-old man was arrested Sunday afternoon after shots were fired outside Greater Nevada Field.
The incident was reported around 4:45 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2022.Â
Reno Police officers were on scene within seconds of being dispatched to the call, where good samaritans and Greater Nevada Field Security were holding the suspect on the ground.
Reno Police say the suspect later identified as Jaime Zamarano shot a gun into the air after the game in order to break up a fight between two women he previously knew. Â
RPD says nobody was injured, but a firearm and multiple shell casings were recovered from the scene.
Zamarano was arrested and is charged with carrying a concealed weapon, discharging a firearm in a public place and prohibited possession of a firearm.
Reno Police are still investigating but they do believe it was an isolated incident.Â
