Nevada State Police has released more details about a crash that killed a Sun Valley man near Mt. Rose Highway and Thomas Creek Road late last month.Â
The crash happened just after 11:45 p.m. on June 28th.
NSP says a preliminary investigation shows that a 2004 Nissan 350Z was heading east on SR 431 near Thomas Creek, when for some unknown reason, the driver lost control of the car. NSP says the driver eventually braked and got into a locked wheel skid, then moving across both directions of the road where the car finally overturned.
The Washoe County coroner has identified the driver as 19-year-old Gustavo Estrada Pacheco. The coroner says he died on scene from blunt force injury to the neck.
