Most Reno, Sparks and Washoe County offices will be closed on Christmas and New Year's Day.
Both days fall on Monday.
Closures include administrative offices at the Washoe County Complex on 9th Street, Reno Justice Court, Sparks Justice Court, Incline Village Justice Court and Wadsworth Justice Court, the Second Judicial Court, the Washoe County District Attorney's Office, clinical services at Northern Nevada Public Health, Washoe County Human Services agency and all meal distribution locations.
Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue headquarters and fire prevention and administrative offices will also be closed.
All Washoe County libraries will be closed, but book drops and online services will remain available.
Regional Animal Services Shelter Operations and Office will be closed but field operations will continue as normal. Pet redemption services will be available on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Washoe County Sheriff's Office will close all administrative offices, but visiting and cashier will remain open and 911 will be available for emergency assistance.
The Office of the County Clerk at the Washoe County Complex will remain open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for notary bond filings and marriage licenses.
City of Reno administrative offices and recreation facilities will be closed.
The Reno Police Department is advising people to call or text 911 for any emergency needing police, fire or medical response. Calling is preferred to texting.
