A Stockton man faces trafficking charges after being arrested in Reno as part of a multi-month fentanyl investigation.
Police say the Regional Narcotics Unit and the Northern Nevada Drug Task Force arrested 49-year-old Jimmie Parker along with 32-year-old Sabrina Lucio at an area casino.
Authorities say they allegedly bought fentanyl from Parker during the investigation and when he was arrested, they say he had $20,000 in cash and 39 ecstasy pills. Lucio is suspected of having a concealed gun and over a gram of fentanyl.
After Parker's arrest, detectives say they searched a car and his home near Sinclair Street where they found:
* 472.59 grams (over one pound) of fentanyl
* 148 grams of methamphetamine
* 536.29 grams of marijuana
* 12.26 grams of cocaine
According to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the quantity of fentanyl
seized is the equivalent of approximately 236,295 lethal doses.
Parker was transported and booked into the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Detention Facility on the following charges:
* Felony Drug Trafficking Warrant (California)
* Possession of a Controlled Substance (3 counts)
* Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell (3 counts)
* Trafficking of a Controlled Substance (3 counts)
Parker's bail has been set at $2,050,000.
Lucio was transported and booked into the Washoe County Sheriff's Office Detention
Facility on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and Carrying a Concealed
Weapon without a Permit.
