Chris Brown has avoided prison time for beating a music producer with a tequila bottle at a London nightclub three years ago. On Monday, a court gave him an eight-month sentence, suspended for a year. Brown, 37, faced up to three years in prison after pleading guilty to affray in July. The incident occurred at Tape, a private club in Mayfair, in February 2023. Affray involves unlawful violence that causes fear for safety. Brown's plea deal led prosecutors to drop more serious charges. He was arrested in May 2025 after returning to the UK for a concert.
