Houthis strike Saudi targets, olive harvesters attacked in West Bank, and other Mideast developments
Yemen’s Houthi rebels say they attacked military facilities and airports in Saudi Arabia, disrupting flights and escalating regional tensions. Also on Wednesday, Israeli settlers opened fire on olive harvesters in the West Bank, killing one man and injuring 16 others. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio reiterated that the goal of the Iran war is to prevent Iran from ever developing a nuclear weapon. Satellite imagery shows that Rafah, once home to a quarter of a million people, lies in ruins three years after Israel launched its military campaign against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
