Stocks are mostly rising in early trading on Wall Street and Treasury yields are falling after the government reported that employers unexpectedly cut 23,000 jobs last month. The S&P 500 rose 0.4% early Friday. The Dow Jones Industrial Average edged down 52 points, or 0.1%, and the Nasdaq composite rose 1.1%. The weaker signal on the job market can be seen as putting less upward pressure on inflation and allowing the Federal Reserve more time before raising interest rates. The yield on the 10-year Treasury fell to 4.60%. The price of Brent crude edged lower.
