The U.S. stock market is rising and recovering some of its sell-off from last week. The S&P 500 climbed 0.8% Monday, coming off its third straight losing week, and pulled within 2.3% of its all-time high. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 547 points, and the Nasdaq composite rose 1%. Stocks got a lift from easing prices for oil. Brent crude fell 6.7% in its latest yo-yo move on uncertainty around the war with Iran. Several influential AI-related stocks, meanwhile, held firmer following their sharp drops last week on worries their prices may have shot too high.
