Authorities say a drone with an explosive device has been found at Germany’s Leipzig/Halle Airport and a detonator has been removed from the object. Police and prosecutors said Wednesday that an airport employee discovered a drone near the airport’s south runway with “an unknown explosive device.” The object has been examined by police who removed its detonator. A police statement didn’t elaborate on the nature of the device. Meanwhile, authorities say an apparent second flying object has collided with a freight airplane after aborting a landing because the runway was closed. It flew to another German airport, Hannover, where officials found slight damage.
