Christa Pike is awake and speaking after surviving an attempt to execute her in Tennessee. Executioners tried twice to administer lethal doses of pentobarbital on Sept. 30. Witnesses were able to hear her loudly snoring before she was removed from the death chamber. Her attorneys are in court in Nashville on Wednesday to request more information from the Tennessee Department of Correction. They want a court order to preserve evidence from the execution attempt. Pike was sentenced to death for the beating and stabbing death of Colleen Slemmer in 1995.
