Pope Leo XIV will proceed with his planned trip to Uruguay, Argentina, and Peru from November 6 to 17. The Vatican confirmed Monday that doctors found no medical reasons preventing him from traveling. Two weeks ago, surgeons removed a malignant nodule from his lung, marking the first major health event of his pontificate. Since returning to the Vatican, Leo has gradually resumed activities while prioritizing recovery. His physician stated there's no reason to cancel the trip, which includes multiple flights and helicopter rides. The Vatican said the visit will strengthen ties with local churches and promote faith, hope and peace.
