In the early hours of Monday morning, the Elko Police Department were called in to handle a call involving a man with a gun.
Elko Police officers were dispatched to a motel on the 200 block of Idaho Street this morning after a report of an assault.
When they arrived, investigators learned that a woman was allegedly forced by Henry Lee Tellis, Jr. to buy drugs.
According to the report, when the woman returned to the motel without the drugs or the money, Tellis got angry and pointed a gun at her, demanding the money.
The woman was able to escape the motel room and call the police for help.
Officers went on a search and were able to find Tellis on South 5th Street, as well as the aforementioned gun.
EPD arrested Tellis and he has been booked into the Elko County Jail.
