Some temporary traffic changes are coming to Lamoille Highway (State Route 227) in Elko County starting Saturday, March 15.
Lane restrictions and shifts are being set up at Boyd-Kennedy Road so that crews can analyze the area in advance of NDOT installing a new roundabout.
SR 227 will see the lane reductions taking place between Corral Lane and Martin Avenue.
The road will be reduced to one lane in each direction between 7:00 a.m. on March 15 until 7:00 p.m. on March 19 - roadside shoulder closures will be in effect as well.
Speed will be reduced to 35 mph in the area.
NDOT says the roundabout project will enhance traffic mobility for the roughly 11,000 drivers who travel near that intersection every day.
