A standoff with a suspect in a stabbing at the Gateway Inn in northwest Reno has ended with the suspect being taken into custody.

Update - July 17 at 11:20 a.m.

Reno Police are on scene of a standoff at the Gateway Inn after they say a man stabbed a woman, earlier in the morning.

Police say the stabbing happened just before 8:45 a.m. Wednesday on Stardust Street and W. 7th Street.

The unidentified victim was transported to a nearby hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.  

Police say there is no threat to the public at this time.
