Wooster High School was placed on a temporary precautionary lockdown due to nearby police activity on Wednesday.
The Washoe County School District posted the notice on its website at 12:30 p.m. The school has since resumed normal operations.
Reno Police say WCSD School Police alerted them to a possible suspect in this month's shots fired case that happened across the street.Â
After a short investigation, police learned that the possible suspect was not involved in the case - and the school returned to normal operations.Â

Less than two weeks ago, another lockdown happened and resulted in the arrest of three teens for their alleged involvement in a shots fired case across the street from the school.Â
Reno Police say the incident was between two rival groups - and the Regional Gang Unit found a car involved at a home several blocks away from the scene.
Police say they searched the car and the home and found two guns and made three arrests.
A 17-year-old and a 16-year-old were arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
A 14-year-old was also arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.
