President Joe Biden came to northern Nevada on Tuesday to visit staff and volunteers at his Reno campaign headquarters.
During his visit, the president talked about the economy, job creation, the importance of unions and prescription drug prices among other things, while also attacking his opponent, former President Donald Trump, for his proposed policies and recent remarks, including comments on Russia and their newly re-elected President, Vladimir Putin.
In a statement Washoe County Republican Party Chairman Bruce Parks called the president's visit political pandering while blaming him for high prices in Nevada and calling him out for his foreign aid and border policies as well as crime in the country.
In advance of the president's arrival Terminal Way was closed from Vassar Street to Villanova Drive prior to Airmotive Way.
A temporary flight restriction was also put into effect at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, as well as a ramp freeze.
The last time the president visited the area was last August, for a vacation in Lake Tahoe.
Following his campaign stop in Reno, President Biden headed to Las Vegas where he spoke about lowering costs for American families.
