The Reno Fire Department is on scene of a brush fire that broke out around 2 p.m. on 4th St. near Reno's Historic River Inn.
Reno Fire posted in a tweet that they were able to stop a permitted private burn that got out of hand.
One nearby building was damaged but fire crews managed to hold the fire to the origin area, preventing it from spreading.
The Reno Fire Department also wants this to be a reminder of the dangers that arise from dry conditions.
