A snow slide trapped cars and closed part of U.S. 50 Sunday morning just east of Echo Summit.
There were no injuries in the incident according to a post on X from Caltrans District 3, which described what happened as a "snow sluff."

U.S. 50 was closed for about 30 minutes while crews worked to free the trapped cars and clear the roadway.
