Soroptimist International, Sparks is hosting an Oktoberfest event Saturday evening..
It is happening at the Wadsworth Lodge at 2425 Pyramid Way from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will feature wine and beer tasting, a silent auction, festival food, music and door prize drawings.
The event will raise funds for programs that support local women and girls by providing educational opportunities.
Tickets are available for $60 at the door. The event is limited to those 21 and over.
Soroptimist International is a worldwide organization that brings change to the lives of women and girls worldwide. it is driven by its mission of transforming lives through education, empowerment and enabling opportunities.
The Sparks Chapter was incorporated earlier in 2023 to work locally to further these goals.
