The Sparks Firefighters Association held an event to raise money for the West Region Firefighter Challenge.
The event was held at Scheels on Saturday, March 30.
Attendees were able to see firefighting equipment and tools up close.
The association also unveiled a new fire truck, which was displayed next to an antique fire engine to show the evolution of firefighting technology.
Attendees also got the chance to speak with firefighters to learn more about their jobs, as well as participate in different activities.Â
The association raised money through accepting donations as well as selling merchandise.
The Firefighter Challenge is a contest where firefighters from around the nation compete against each other in skills-based challenge courses.
The West Region Firefighter Challenge will be held in Sparks from May 16 to May 18.
